Take our word for it
Annapolis is our American HQ, and many of our team call it home as well. Here's the insider knowledge on what to do and where to go!
United States Naval Academy Tours
Tours are a must-do at the Naval Academy. You'll enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a midshipman, the rich and tumultuous history of the US Navy, and the breathtaking scenery. Find tour times and book here.
The Annapolis Pottery
If you're up for some retail therapy, check out the beautiful pieces for sale at The Annapolis Pottery. A real working pottery in the heart of the Historic District, this is a short walk from The Graduate.
Walking Ghost Tours
Get spooky with Annapolis Tours & Crawls! Book a Ghost Pub Crawl or a Twisted History Tavern Crawl for a fun evening out, or go for a more family-friendly version of either a bit earlier in the day. This is a great group activity that's close to the event venue.
Banneker-Douglass Museum
The Banneker-Douglas museum is a hidden gem, dedicated to preserving Maryland's African American heritage and culture. (A quick look on Trip Advisor will support this recommendation as an excellent experience!)
The Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer's Market (Amish Market)
Locally known as the "Amish Market", this market is located in the Annapolis Harbour Center. Most of the products are made in Lancaster County using traditional PA Dutch recipes that have been handed down by the Amish through generations.
Stand-up paddle board and kayak rentals
Explore Annapolis from the water with stand-up paddle board and kayak rentals. This does require a short drive to Quiet Waters Park, but it's well worth the effort.
Schooner Woodwind Sailing Cruises
Spend some time enjoying the water on the Woodwind Schooners. These 74-foot schooners are a lovely way to enjoy Chesapeake Bay with an enthusiastic and fun crew.
Forward Brewing
Located in Eastport (a short walk from the Graduate Annapolis), Forward Brewing offers a truly excellent selection of craft beer and a lovely atmosphere. Drop in here after a few hours of Annapolis sun and water and you'll be sure to have a great night!
William Paca House
The William Paca House and Garden are located downtown and features a stunning 1760s Georgian mansion, painstakingly restored to its original splendor. Book a tour or walk through a self-guided garden tour for a relaxing and interesting look at Annapolis history.
Chase Garden
The Chase Home is host to 6,000 square feet of perennial and native planting beds, trees and shrubs. It's a beautiful little spot to explore and is just down the road from the Graduate Hotel. You can book in for a self-guided tour on the Chase Home website (for a small fee of $5). The Chase Home is a National Historic Landmark, built and still used to support women going through hardship. If you're a history or botany buff, this one is worth taking a look at!
